The concentration of potassium was determined by a combination of flow injection analysis (FIA) with an all-solid-state potassium sensor detection. The all-solid-state potassium-selective electrode possessing long-term potential stability was fabricated by coating an electroactive polypyrrole/poly(4-styrenesulfonate) film electrode with a plasticized poly(vinyl chloride) membrane containing valinomycin. The simple FIA system developed in this laboratory demonstrated sensitivity identical to that in the batch system and achieved considerably rapid assay (150 samples h−1). Analyses of soy sauce and control serum samples by this FIA system yielded results in good agreement with those obtained by conventional measurements. 相似文献

A core-shell structure was found in AM SURE™ resin, in which most amino groups were located at the skin layer. We synthesized amphiphilic polymer-supported N-heterocyclic carbene (NHC) precursor resins by loading polyethylene glycol (PEG) containing imidazolium groups on Merrifield resin. These PS-PEG-NHC precursor resins were compatible with water and readily formed a stable complex with palladium. These PS-PEG-NHC-Pd catalysts showed excellent catalytic activity for Suzuki cross-coupling reactions of various aryl iodides and bromides with phenylboronic acid in water than the previously described polystyrene based catalysts. In addition, the PS-PEG-NHC-Pd catalysts continued to provide excellent catalytic activity in Suzuki cross-coupling reactions after five consecutive recycles. 相似文献

We have characterized symmetric solid-state supercapacitors in swagelok cells using film electrodes made of novel hybrid materials based on multiwalled carbon nanotubes (CNT) and phosphomolybdate polyanion (Cs-PMo12) with PVA as binder. These hybrid materials were carried out by Cs-PMo12 adhesion onto previously functionalized CNT, in order to disperse both components at a molecular level and use Cs-PMo12 as energy density enhancer in supercapacitor cells. Our results show high capacitance values (up to 285 F/g at I = 200 mA/g) due to the contribution of Cs-PMo12, which was revealed on the higher energy density values compared to pure CNT electrodes. Additionally, good stability was observed during 500 charge–discharge cycles for most hybrid electrodes. These preliminary results show a new approach to enhance energy density of double layer supercapacitor cells through the introduction of Cs-PMo12, whereas from a material science point of view these materials are innovative, and open the way to search for diverse applications aside from supercapacitors (sensors, catalysts, photovoltaic cells, etc.). 相似文献

The phase behavior of methnol–triolein system was determined experimentally at 6.0, 8.0 and 10.0 MPa in the temperature range of 353.2–463.2 K. The results demonstrated that the miscibility of the system was rather poor at low temperature, and the miscibility could be improved by increasing temperature. At a higher pressure, the miscibility was more sensitive to temperature as pressure was fixed. The critical temperature, critical pressure, and acentric factor of triolein were estimated and the experimental data were correlated using the Peng–Robinson equation of state. Density functional calculation were performed on the Ru2 and RuSn metal dimers and the species formed from their interaction with –CClx (x=1–3) fragments. The importance of these fragments in the hydrodechlorination of carbon tetrachloride has been motivated this study aiming to contribute to understand the effect of the tin in the performance of the noble metals based catalysts. We have observed that the carbon tetrachloride does not form a precursor with the metal dimers. The CCl4 readily dissociates forming adsorbed chlorine and –CCl3 complexes. The chlorine atoms prefer to adsorb on the bridge sites and the RuSn–Cl binding energy is about 5 kcal mol−1 larger than the Ru2–Cl binding energy. The Ru2–CClx (x=1–3) binding energies are larger than the respective RuSn–CClx (x=1–3) binding energies. However, the reaction energy of the dechlorination of CCl4 leading to adsorbed –CClx (x=1–3) and chlorine is thermodynamically more favorable for RuSn than the Ru2. The differences between Ru2 and RuSn systems have been discussed based on the different interaction mechanism due to the presence of the tin center and its affinity for the chlorine atoms. 相似文献

A simple method of synthesizing a large quantity of TiO(2) nanorods was developed. A nonhydrolytic sol-gel reaction between titanium(IV) isopropoxide and oleic acid at 270 degrees C generated 3.4 nm (diameter) x 38 nm (length) sized TiO(2) nanocrystals. The transmission electron microscopic image showed that the particles have a uniform diameter distribution. X-ray diffraction and selected-area electron diffraction patterns combined with high-resolution transmission electron microscopic image showed that the TiO(2) nanorods are highly crystalline anatase crystal structure grown along the [001] direction. The diameters of the TiO(2) nanorods were controlled by adding 1-hexadecylamine to the reaction mixture as a cosurfactant. TiO(2) nanorods with average sizes of 2.7 nm x 28 nm, 2.2 nm x 32 nm, and 2.0 nm x 39 nm were obtained using 1, 5, and 10 mmol of 1-hexadecylamine, respectively. The optical absorption spectrum of the TiO(2) nanorods exhibited that the band gap of the nanorods was 3.33 eV at room temperature, which is 130 meV larger than that of bulk anatase (3.2 eV), demonstrating the quantum confinement effect. Oleic acid coordinated on the nanorod surface was removed by the reduction of the carboxyl group of oleic acid, and the Brunauer-Emmett-Teller surface area of the resulting naked TiO(2) nanorods was 198 m(2)/g. The naked TiO(2) nanorods exhibited higher photocatalytic activity than the P-25 photocatalyst for the photocatalytic inactivation of E. coli. 相似文献

Despite many advantages toward nonlinear optical (NLO) waveguide devices, NLO polymers have not been adopted successfully into practical wavelength converters due to their high absorption losses. Empirical and theoretical understandings about NLO susceptibility imply the fundamental trade-off between optical absorption and nonlinearity. Our theoretical analysis elucidates the effect of absorption losses on second-harmonic generation (SHG). We compare analytically maximum conversion efficiencies for several NLO polymers and found a convincing approach for the development of NLO polymers with the optimum combination of high optical nonlinearity and low material absorption, which leads us to realize efficient polymeric SHG devices. 相似文献
